April 16. Professor Prasuna Reddy, Director of Research & Chair Rural Mental Health, Greater Health, Greater Green Triangle, Victoria Australia, visited the Research Centre for Health Promotion and Resources. She held a guest lecture based on her work on how to develop effective diabetes prevention and healthy promotion programmes in rural districts in Victoria, Australia. She also showed how these programmes could be adopted, further developed and used in diabetes (and other types) prevention in other places in the world. This is of special importance as diabetes is the fastest growing disease in the world.
