Unni Karin Moksnes from the Research Centre fro Health Promotion and Resources defended February 18. her Doctorate in Health Science. Her thesis had the title “Stress and health in adolescents: The role of potential protective factors“.Professor Bengt Lindstrøm was 1.opponent and Professor Lars Wickstrøm was second opponent in the defence. Professor Geir arild Espnes, NTNU, had been main supervisor, while Professor Don Byrne, Australian National University and Toril Rannestad from Sør Trøndelag University College had been second supervisors.

The Centre was successfully represented by board member Don G. Byrne, Linda Ernstsen and Geir Arild Espnes at the 2. Heart and Mind conference in Prato Italy.
Linda Ernstsen presented a poster with co-authors Geir Arild Espnes and Steinar Krokstad (board member and HUNT director).
Geir Arild Espnes had a poster together with Don G Byrne on Type A Behaivour Pattern (TABP), and Professor Byrne summed up the history of the TABP in an oral presentation with Geir Arild Espnes as second author.

Even if the Research Centre for Health Promotion and Resources HiST/NTNU has been in activity for a year, there has not been time for an opening ceremony earlier. But on May 26th the Centre was officially opened with mini-seminar, cutting of ribbons, speeches and canapès. See pictures from the opening attached.
